THE SHORT VERSION
XEPA traces every shot on your own device. The iPhone app has no account, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking, and it collects no data. This website uses no cookies, no analytics, and no trackers. Your videos are never uploaded to us.
THE IPHONE APP
- Videos and sound. Clips you film or import are traced on your iPhone and never uploaded. The sound is used only on your phone to find the moment of the strike.
- Camera and microphone. Used only while you film in XEPA.
- Photos. XEPA saves your recordings and the videos you export to Photos. When you import, XEPA receives only the clip you pick.
- Shots. Traced shots are kept inside XEPA on your iPhone (and in your iPhone backup, if backups are on). Deleting a shot removes it.

Reporting a bad trace. Only when you choose to: the iOS share sheet sends the shot file

.gtrace) where you pick. The video is not included. - App Store transactions. Any transactions inside the iPhone app are handled directly by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive your payment details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to App Store transactions.
- Children. XEPA is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
THE PREMIERE PRO PLUG-IN
The plugin traces on your computer. Your footage and Premiere Pro projects are never uploaded. To activate a licence or the free trial, the plugin sends a random installation ID for that computer to our licence service. Paid activation also sends your licence key—never your footage or projects. Trial requests also include a hashed machine identifier when available, so reinstalling does not restart the trial. The service stores salted hashes of trial identifiers to remember used trials, with no automatic expiry currently configured. Activation requests can include a device label to help you manage your computers.
BUYING ON THIS WEBSITE
Orders on this website are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects what it needs to take the payment, handle sales tax, and send your receipt (such as your name, email address, billing country, and payment details). We receive the order details from Paddle so our licence service can issue your plugin licence key, and we never see your full card number. The licence service stores your purchase email address and uses Resend to deliver or re-send your key. Paddle’s privacy policy applies to the checkout.
THIS WEBSITE
No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, and no embedded third-party scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep short technical logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to track anyone.
If you arrive through a partner’s link, your browser remembers that partner’s code for 30 days. If you buy, the code goes with your order so the partner gets credit. The code says which partner sent you, not who you are.
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to answer you. We do not add you to any mailing list.
YOUR CHOICES
Since the iPhone app collects no data, there is nothing for us to delete from it: deleting a shot or the app removes it from your iPhone. For anything about a website order or an email you sent us, write to us and we will help.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date, and in the app. We will not start collecting data without saying so here first.
